Helping our community
Here at Castle we believe in helping others, especially during time of need. We were able to assist the Mahone Bay Food Bank again this year thanks to the generosity of our contractors and valued supplier Jeld-wen Windows and Doors during our annual "Contractor Night"
<Shown in picture, our store Manager, Curtis Saulnier, presenting our donation to Kathy Nowe from Mahone Bay Food Bank.
Our annual "Contractor's Night" was another HUGE success! Once a year, Jeld-wen Windows and Doors, Chester Building Supplies and ourselves here at Nova Scotia Building Supplies come together to express our appreciation to our contractors. This evening consists of steak dinner with all the trimmings, as well as games. Beyond the fun and games, this evening afforded us the opportunity to raise much needed funds for our local food banks in both Chester and Mahone Bay.
We were honored to present a cheque for $2,500.00 to each of these community support groups.
Welcome to the castle team curtis!
We are very pleased to announce that Curtis Swinimer has joined the Castle team here at Nova Scotia Building Supplies in Blockhouse.
Curtis is no stranger to the south shore. As previous owner of Sears for the past 25 years, he brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the community.
Stop by and give Curtis a warm welcome. He's looking better than ever in CASTLE blue!

The secret is out! Benjamin Moore's Colour of the Year, Caliente AF-290, is strong, radiant and full of energy.
"Caliente is the signature colour of a modern architectural masterpiece; a lush carpet rolled out for a grand arrival; the assured backdrop for a book-lined library; a powerful first impression on a glossy front door. The eye can’t help but follow its bold strokes. Harness the vitality.”
—Ellen O'Neill, Benjamin Moore & Co.
